Free Traffic From Blog Carnivals

I recently discovered blog carnivals.  I think they may be one of the best kept traffic secrets around.  So what is a blog carnival?  Well, basically blog carnivals are like huge compilations of blog posts or articles, very much like a magazine.  They have varied topics, editors, contributors and most importantly of all, readers.  They are typically published either weekly or monthly.

Setting up or hosting a blog carnival has advantages, but also takes a lot of time and effort.  I’d rather take advantage of what someone else has built and leverage its traffic power.  Finding the blog carnivals in any niche and submitting articles or posts to them is extremely time consuming.  What I’ve found is an inexpensive piece of software that makes the process quick and easy.   I just select the blog carnivals I want to post to from a drop down list.  And the list is extensive.  Then I select the blog posts or articles that I want to submit and push a button.

The first time I used this software I set up several blog posts for submission into a queue, but only submitted two of them to the 21 different blog carnivals I found for that niche in the drop down menu. So with the click of my mouse, I had 42 new backlinks from a few minutes work.  Backlinks help in your search engine rankings, but these are even better because most blog carnivals are considered authority sites.

So you have a rich source of backlinks and the viral nature of the readership of these blog carnivals working for you. Readers could digg or bookmark your post, and that just increases exposure for your website as more people will want to visit and see what you’re all about.  You gotta love that!

The software goes live tomorrow, March 12 and is only $27. Plus it comes with free lifetime upgrades. I think this is one of the best deals I’ve found and wanted to be sure to share it with you.  Don’t miss out! To watch a video of how the software works, and get your own copy, click here.

Hey Debbie,

I don’t remember if we’ve met but I’m one of your fellow AJ students. So if we haven’t I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Jeff Sargent and I’ve been enjoying the ride with Alex.

I wanted to comment on this post about blog carnivals because they do sound great and you’re right, they are a well kept secret for some reason. Unfortunately I had a different experience with them. I followed your link here so I know I was referred by the same people you were.

I didn’t use the software because it had not been released yet when I watched the video about the case study they did on blog carnivals. So I did it manually like they showed in the video.

I submitted 15 blog posts about three weeks ago and I haven’t received one single backlink. I don’t think I did anything wrong because it’s pretty easy to do. I still think blog carnivals are a good thing and I’m not ready to give up on them yet. I will try it again manually and if I get results this time I will look into buying the software as it definitly will save a lot of time.

I’m glad you had good luck with it and I hope you continue to do so. I’d like to know how you do with them in the future so if you could post here again or email me it would be appreciated.

Later,
Jeff Sargent

Hi Jeff,

Nice to meet you. I think there may be some confusion about the backlinks. When you post in a blog carnival, you’re creating a backlink from that carnival. So if you posted 15 blog posts in one blog carnival, that’s 15 backlinks. Personally, I started out with 2 posts in 21 blog carnivals, so I had 42 backlinks right off the bat. I plan to post 2 articles to those 21 blog carnivals each week to increase the number of backlinks. As new blog carnivals are added to the software, I’ll increase those numbers.

Best,
Debbie

I had to take a double take on that one, MANY thanks for the awesome tip.

I had heard of blog carnivals but obviously (from reading your post now) had not understood how to use them to my advantage.

I am off to buy the software, hopefully that is your affiliate link and I will help you with some commission - as tesco’s moto saying “every little helps..”
